Welcome to the USA Outdoors Association
The goal of our association is to provide camaraderie, protect our great
American outdoors and our outdoor heritage by making sure the voice of the
common man and woman’s voice is heard in Washington. We will strive to develop
the skills of our members in all aspects of our outdoor heritage and to care for
those who are in need as has been the mark of all great legends of the American
experience.
The words you read below
are the foundation that the USA Outdoors Association is built upon
"Conservation means development as much as it does
protection. I recognize the right and duty of this generation to develop and use
the natural resources of our land; but I do not recognize the right to rob by
wasteful use the generations that come after us"
Theodore Roosevelt
"The best remedy for those who are afraid, lonely or
unhappy is to go outside, somewhere where they can be quiet, alone with the
heavens, nature and God. Because only then does one feel that all is as it
should be and that God wishes to see people happy, amidst the simple beauty of
nature"
Anne Frank
"I love to think of nature as an unlimited broadcasting
station, through which God speaks to us every hour, if we will only tune in"
George Washington Carver
"You will find something far greater in the woods than you
will find in books. Stones and trees will teach you that which you will never
learn from masters"
St Bernard
"The old Lakota was wise. He knew that man's heart
away from nature becomes hard; he knew that lack of respect for growing, living
things soon led to lack of respect for humans too"
Chief Luther Standing Bear
